Professor Bankole Benjamin Oyedele

Professor Bankole Benjamin Oyedele was born in the 60s. He had his Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1977 from ECWA LSMB Primary School, Omu-Aran, Kwara State. He proceeded to Bishop Smith College, Ilorin for his Secondary School Education between 1977 and 1982. He gained admission to the then Kwara College of Technology, School of Basic Studies now Kwara State Polytechnic for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) in 1983 and completed the program in 1985.
He was admitted to the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University in 1985 for his Bachelor Degree in Geography and completed same in 1988. He did the mandatory National Youth Service with the National Population Commission, Owerri in 1988/1989 service year.
Professor Bankole was admitted back to his alma mata the Ahmadu Bello University in 1989 for his Master’s Degree Program in Rural Development and graduated in 1992. He had a stint with the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission between 1992 and 1995. He secured a job with the Professional Import Duty Administrators (PIDA) and was posted to Apapa Ports in Lagos. He was later deployed to Idi-Iroko boarder town between Nigeria and Benin Republic. He left the job in 1999 to join the services of the then University of Ado-Ekiti now Ekiti State University in year 2000. He obtained his Doctorate Degree in Geography and Planning in 2006. He is currently a Professor and Head of Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. He is a member of Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN). He is a Fellow of Certified Institute of Hospitality Tourism and Management (FCTIHTM). He is happily married to Mrs Helen Ebun Bankole and the marriage is blessed with children.
