Christopher T. Oluwadare is a Professor of Medical Sociology in the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria. He attended the University of Ibadan and obtained B.Sc Sociology in 1990, M.Sc in 1995, and PhD in Medical Sociology in 2000. He earlier attended St Peter’s Catholic P/S Okemesi Ekiti (1973-1979), Okemesi Community High School for his WASCE/GCE O’ Level (1979-1984) and Osogbo Grammar School, Osogbo, Osun State for the GCE Advanced level Certificate (1984-1986). He started his academic career in the University as Research Assistant to Professor I. O. Orubuloye in October 1991 and later Graduate Assistant in March 1992. He rose through the ranks and promoted to Professor of Medical Sociology in 2012.

He teaches medical/health sociology, sociological theories, sociological thoughts, and social methodology. Latest Journal papers include, ‘’Health Seeking and Treatment Compliance among Hypertensive Adults in Ekiti State, Nigeria’’; ‘’A Comparative Assessment of Access to Healthcare of People Living in Ekiti and Kogi States of Nigeria’’;  ‘’Multidisciplinary Approach: a Panacea to National Security and Development in Nigeria’’. and ‘’level of adherence to Antiretroviral Therapy among People living with HIV/AIDS in Ekiti State’’. He has over 80 publications in both national and international titles. He has successfully supervised seven PHD candidates and six MSc candidates. He is a certified Social Development practitioner.  He is Editorial Board member to several Publication bodies, External Examiner and Moderator to other Universities, for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

He is an Associate Pastor in the Name of Jesus Ministries (Jesus Cathedral) and current Chairperson of Coalition of Ekiti Civil Society Organisations (COECSO) and Executive Diretor, Centre for Better Health & Community Development (BHECOD). He is happily married to Dr (Pastor) Beatrice Idowu Oluwadare and blessed with children.
