Prof. A.A Awe joined the service of Ondo State University (Now Ekiti State University) in 1993, as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Economics.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree University of Ilorin, Masters of Science (M.Sc) University of Lagos and Doctor of Philosophy (P.hd) degree Federal University of Science and Technology (Akure) in Economics. He became a Professor in 2013. He has served as Head of Department of Economics between 2006, 2009 and 2011 – 2012 and Head of Department of Accounting 2012 – 2013. He equally served as the Head of Department of Economics Landmark University, 2013 – 2014 while on sabbatical

He was appointed as Director, Entrepreneurship Study Centre between 2014 and 2018.

He became the Dean, Faculty of social sciences in w2020 till Date and Chairman, Committee of Dean, in 2021.

He has supervised Eleven(11) Ph.D students and over thirty Master Degree students

His research interest is in the area of Development Economics and Project Analysis. He has published over 40 publications both locally and internationally.

He has served as External Examiners in more than four Universities and National University Commission on the Accreditation of University Academic Programme

Prof. Awe is married with children to Princess Rachael Bola Awe
